- 1 loaf of French or Italian bread
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a kick)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for extra flavor)
Instructions
- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add the softened butter.
- Add the minced garlic.
- Toss in the finely chopped parsley.
- Sprinkle in the salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until well combined.
- If using Parmesan cheese, fold it into the mixture now.
- Place the loaf of French or Italian bread on a cutting board.
- Slice the bread in half lengthwise using a serrated knife.
- Place the halves cut-side up on a baking sheet or large plate.
- Take a generous amount of the garlic butter mixture and spread it evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
- Save any leftover garlic butter for later use.
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the garlic bread halves in the air fryer basket, cut-side up.
- Cook for about 5-7 minutes, checking for golden brown and crispy edges.
- For extra crispiness, add an additional 1-2 minutes of cooking time.
- Carefully remove the garlic bread from the air fryer using tongs or a spatula.
- Optionally, sprinkle additional parsley or Parmesan cheese on top while warm.
- Let the garlic bread cool for a minute before serving.
Notes
- For a more intense garlic flavor, feel free to increase the amount of minced garlic.
- This garlic butter can also be used on other dishes like pasta or roasted vegetables.
